The team of Al Murtaza Centre came up with a fun way to celebrate Eid Day with Sunday school kids and their families this year. The event was hosted at Time Zone Arcade and Bowling Centre, and all the games were free of charge to the kids, much to the surprise of the happy parents!

What an engaging activity to promote physical and emotional well being in the community

As always Eid Day is all about spending time with family and friends – and this activity was a great way to boost strong social and community connections among the families.

The team realized that Arcade games and bowling are a fun way to engage children, develop confidence and teamwork, and promote kids’ physical and mental wellbeing. Kids were able to have multiple gos at the arcade game of their choice, and they had plenty of games to try out! The ‘Virtual Rabbids’ VR game was a hit with younger kids who described it as “mindblowing” because it’s like you’re doing it in real life. Kids really enjoyed playing bowling and smashing as many of those ten pins as possible – it was not only fun but also developed positive team culture and collaboration.

The organizers had something for child of every age. A separate toddler area was arranged to give infants and pre-school kids their own space separate from exuberant older children. These kids enjoyed playing in the colorful ball pool and on soft playmats while the parents enjoyed a wee chat with other parents.

The day ended with a wonderful dinner party which was complete with Eid day cake cutting. All in all a very fun Eid Day it was!
