AlMurtaza Centre organized a biking promotion event funded by Auckland Transport, to encourage cycling within the community. The event attracted over 40 families, including around 60 children and 50 adults, and featured various activities focused on cycling, safety, and community engagement.
The event successfully increased participation in cycling, raised awareness about biking as a mode of transportation, and improved bike safety through education sessions and demonstrations. Participants left with knowledge on the health benefits of cycling and essential safety practices.
The event fostered community connections by bringing together biking enthusiasts, families, and local professionals. It promoted healthy lifestyles, enhanced children’s well-being, and encouraged social interaction among community members. The distribution of safety gear and gifts further contributed to the community’s overall sense of unity and well-being.
